“mommy said you are ill”
“yes I am, I just need to rest a little”. Mia came close to the bed and placed her palm on his forehead. He could smell her skin; the closeness had some tingling effect on him.
“your head is a bit warm, does it hurt?”
“a little, now go and help your mom in the kitchen”
“she is almost through, let me just stay here till she comes”. Alarm bells were ringing in his head, “she needs to leave now” he thought. Mia sat down beside him and it made him very uncomfortable. She was wearing knickers and a sleeveless blouse. The smoothness of her skin taunted him. His hands were eager to caress her flawless skin. He swallowed hard.
“Mia leave now , I need to be alone”
“okay” she simply said and got up. As she walked towards the door, he couldn’t help but look at her butt, at her age her butt was shaped well. He shut his eyes and waited to hear the door close. As soon as she was gone he opened his eyes and heaved a sigh of relieve, but the hunger to have her increased. He closed his eyes again and imagined her on the bed with him, he wanted to touch her and feel her innocence. His wife entered the room with a cup of cold water.
“honey would you like to take water”. He opened his eyes and saw his wife. “for heaven’s sake my wife is beautiful, what the hell is wrong with me” he thought.
“honey where is your mind?”
“errr, don’t mind me, I was just carried away”
“stop thinking it will only worsen your state, clear your head”
“yes ma’am”. She placed her palm on his head, “your head is warm”
“warm but not hot” he said and smiled
“I’m just worried about you”, “you should” he thought, “don’t worry I will be fine” he said. She laid next to him and placed her hand on his chest.
“I feel dizzy” she said
“dizzy?’
“yea”
“why?”
“I don’t know, let me take a nap and see if it goes away”
“alright”. It didn’t take long before she was fast asleep. He looked at her and noticed that there was something different about her but he couldn’t place it.
Thirty minutes later, still engrossed in his imaginations of Mia, his wife suddenly got up and rushed to the bathroom. He wondered what the problem was and rushed after her. Tina held the toilet bowl and threw up. She looked ill. She got up and turned on the tap took water into her mouth gaggled it and spat it out.
“you didn’t tell me you were ill” he said with concern laced in his voice.
“I’m sorry dear, I wasn’t feeling too good this morning but didn’t want to tell you because of how you felt this morning”
“it doesn’t matter” he got close to her and touched her head, “sweetheart your temperature is on the high side”. He held her hand and led her to the bed. “sit down and relax while and I get a wet towel for your head”. He got the corner of one of the towels in the bathroom wet and came back to place it on her head.
“don’t worry about any chore today again, I and the children will take care of everything today”
“I don’t want the kitchen up side down”
“are you doubting our capabilities”
“yes sir, I am”
“don’t worry your head, I got this today and if your illness persist, we would need to see a doctor”
“alright love, just stay with me here for a while until I sleep off”
“okay”. She laid down and curled herself backing him, he laid beside her and put his arm on her. She wasn’t feeling too good but she guessed what was wrong with her. “I think I am pregnant” she thought, “I’m going to have baby for him” she smiled and fell asleep again.
He noticed she was calm and knew she had fallen asleep again. He got up, took the wet towel from the bed and returned it to the bathroom, and went out of the room. As he climbed down the stairs he was on the look out for Mia, he didn’t want to see her. He got to the living room and sat down.
“daddy” her voice was like hammer to his chest, he turned to see her behind him,
“yes”
“are you better now?”
“yea”. She found her way round the sofa and sat next to him, the hairs on his skin stood up. She was fond of him and that scared him, he didn’t want to hurt Tina in any way. The way she rested her head on his shoulder made him to see a glimpse of her innocent boobs.
“beautiful” he thought, his hands had an urge to touch her boobs, but he held back, “she is my daughter”. Mia kept talking innocently unaware of her father’s ulterior motives, she just loved him as her father, something she never had with Mathew. His eyes drifted to her thigh, it was slender and looked inviting.

“maybe she needs plenty rest”
“I think so”. He looked at her small lips and bit the lower part of his lips,
“I wonder what it’s like to kiss her lips” he thought. There was a dreadful desire that grew in him at that moment and he needed to leave or else he would give in to his urge. He got up suddenly.
“let me check your mom?”
“okay”. He walked away briskly, running away from temptation. “what do I do?” he thought as he walked towards the room. He got to the room to see Tina sitting with her right hand on her forehead.
“your head still hurts? He asked
“it’s splitting” she got up, “let me pour water on my head” but half way to the bathroom she fell and passed out. Mark panicked he rushed to her and shook her but there was no response, he got to the bathroom took a bowl of water and poured it on her head. Her eyes opened but they were very weak. He swept her into his arms and raced downstairs, he called out to Williams who came running out of his room when he heard the urgency in Mark’s voice. Mia flew up from the sofa in the living room when she heard the commotion.
“let’s go to the hospital, your mom needs medical attention. They all rushed out of the house. Mark put Tina at the back of the vehicle and told Williams and Mia to join her. He sped towards the hospital. As soon as they got there Tina was admitted immediately and given drip. After hours of check up and observing the doctor called Mark aside. Mark noticed how young the doctor looked and wondered how old he might be.
“your wife had a high blood pressure, but its calm now”
“thank you so much”
“and another thing” the doctor smiled
“what?” Mark asked looking nervous
“she is four weeks pregnant”
“what!”
“yes, congratulations sir”
“are you serious?”
“if don’t believe me, the test is in my office, give me a sec”. The doctor went to his office and came out holding the result in his hand.
“this is it”. Mark took it from him and read every single word. He was happy. The doctor shook him “congratulations once again, your wife would be discharged in one hour and I would give you prescriptions of drugs for her to take, you can get it in the pharmacy here”
“thank you so much Doc”
“you are welcome, I need to attend to some things I will come back and check you guys”
“thank you”. The doctor left. Mark went to meet his wife who was fully wake now and talking to her children.
“honey”
“yea” she answered weakly
“another Mia or Williams is on the way”
“I don’t understand”
“you are carrying either a brother or a sister to Mia and Williams”
“seriously” the weakness in her voice left.
“yes honey” he kissed her on her forehead. Mia jumped for joy and Williams was visibly pleased. Mia touched the belly of her mom and brought her mouth close to it.
“hello sibling, I don’t know if you are a boy or girl but I finally get someone to bully”. They all laughed.
Exactly one hour the doctor came and discharged Tina. He congratulated them once more and left. They got back home in excitement. Mark quickly made something for Tina to eat. She ate and slept off.
Despite his happiness of her pregnancy, it didn’t change the way he looked at Mia. He left his wife in the room and went to the back of the house and sat down there, trying to take her off his mind. His eyes closed, legs crossed and folded arms he stayed like that for a long while. Until his temptation came.
“daddy, what are you doing at the back”. He clenched his teeth, “what is wrong with this girl”
“Mia I need fresh air”
“its Williams dad”
Mark turned to see Williams, “oh I thought it was Mia”. Williams laughed, “but our voices are not the same”,
“I just have a lot in my head”. Williams sat next to him and stared into space. “I want it to be a boy” he said
“why?” Mark asked trying to be interested in what he was saying.
“so we get to bully Mia together and Play games together”. Mark laughed, “what if it’s a girl?”
“then Mia wins”
“this is so funny. Don’t worry when it is time we would run a scan”
“ok dad”. Silence followed with the both of them staring into space having their personal thoughts.
